Cardio for sure, eat right, no sugar or salt, minimal dough and 30 minutes of intense cardio or 1 hour of moderate cardio. :-)

Yes of course it does! Any sport that requires constant movement for a long time.

The best way is to do a mix of Strength and Cardio. You'll be surprised at the results. 

Clean Eating is worth a try too.
