Is it true that you need to eat five times a day in order to lose weight?

I think to eat 5 times a day is a good thing, you eat 5 small meals in day (food amount should be the same or smaller then your average 3 meals). The thought behind i think is that you don't get too hungry before your next meal and don't overeat and it's easier to digest the food.

No cause if you eat five times are day and u forget to execise u will still have that fat in ya.

Well if you make smart choises with food you can lose weight without excersising. How i know it, from my own experience. With a change of my diet lost about 15kg (about 30 lbs) and then i started working out and lost another 15 kg.

I agree with Lasma. At least it helped ME . I lost 32 pounds by eating healthier and working out .basically the same formula weve been told all our lives lol I ate 3 healthy meals and 2 snacks. I ate till I was satisfied not till I was FULL. I ate every 2-3 hours.so I was never hungry and I worked out 5 times a week. they say eating 5X a day helps to speed up metabolisim. Whether its true or not idk But i also think its all in WHAT you eat not how you eat. So if...

I think the right question is what foods i stop eating. Bread all kinds of bread for 2 weeks is a NO, after dark and holegrain bread. Regular potatos,white rice, and regular pasta is also no. Brown rice,stemded rice and holegrain pasta is ok. But what i did do, i tried to eat meat with all kinds of salads for lunch, soup or salads for dinner. Egs for breakfest. It's not for vegetarians. If you are interested in more, ask me 😄

I usually skip breakfast, sometimes lunch and sometimes dinner...I just don't get hungry. I occasionally have a flapjack or bar when I get to school but I don't sleep either...I usually get to sleep at 3:30 am when I go to bed at 10 pm. HELP!!!!

Hey, wanted to ask you how old are you? But i think that sleep is very important. Have you tried go to bed bit later? One thing you should try... Make daily routine for yourself,it means eat, workout, wake up and go to bed at the same time. You will make your body in less stress, and the sleep will come. Do some yoga before bed, or read some good book.

I'm 14.

My usual bedtime is 10:00pm; I've tried going to bed at 9:00pm and 11:00pm but it doesn't help.

If I read, I won't stop until the book is finished...even my teachers complain that I read too much.
