Foods I should be implementing?

Sorry I duplicated this thread because I didn't know which subject to put it underneath.

Hello, I have recently been working out very seriously for the last month. Till now I have mainly been doing strength training but today I started Insanity. I just want to know what are good snacks or meals that I can substitute in place of what I normally eat.
A little background: I am a meat eater but very selective and only eat meat like chicken, pork and beef. My family is vegetarian and so when they cook I get to eat a lot of green veggies. But I am unsure of what to eat as snacks or meals throughout some days. For example after every strength workout I eat 20 almonds. And I try to eat fruits like bananas, strawberries, cherries, and grapes throughout the week. Anyone have any suggestions for breakfast foods and something healthy for lunch??? Thanks ya'll in advance.
Oh yeah and I am currently more concerned about reducing my belly fat.

Cottage cheese, Greek yoghurt, peanut butter, dried fruits are good. Almonds as you said are good. Drink lots of milk. 
Eat low fat to help with your abs, but you gotta do lots of an workouts too
