I'm pretty good about not stopping while I run but I want to find different ways to keep running at a faster pace so I can have a better time

I used to practice running wearing a backpack with added weight, made my practice runs slower but my actual runs were much faster!

Different running techniques could help. I prefer walking half the distance before the full distance, ie: walk 2.5k then run 5k.Try it for a week then the next week cut out the walk and push yourself for the last 1k. It takes longer than the run and walk approach where you run as fast as you can then walk untill you can run again for the set distance as this method requires more recovery time!.

Practice on your core stability. Things like planks every day will surprise you on how much they help out :)

Do interval runs. Also run once a week slow but longe (in about 90mins)
