If u can do it that would be great but I am not sure u will not be forced if ur just beginning u could try 4 sets of 50 with 15 secs of rest in between and work up to 200 straight :-)

Lmao no way! When I do them I do the hole army count. 123 1 123 2 after I get to 20 I'm just bored haha I like jump roping more. But I stop doing them every day bc I got massive shin splints last time.

Corey i do it that way too so I just do them super fast. I get bored that is why I have a hard time running but I still get them in because there great for ur upper body even though they are only intended to be a warm up. What are u doing to avoid getting shin splints

Im in. I love jumping jacks they were my secret weapon in the military.  They work on ur whole upper body but I hope everyone makes sure they are doing the correct form or else they will not be as effective and tire certain areas out quicker than it should. I would google correct jumping jacks form to see how the pros do it but make sure ur arms are straight. I wish everyone the best.  Thanks

Thanks for the info... Im doing the Jillian Michael's 30 day shred that includes jumping jacks but I don't think I'm doing it right.

Ya believe me I use to do them wrong all the time. They were what I started calling my relaxed form lol. What I didn't know was I was trying to half do them but I was really straining my body. u should be relaxed in all exercises even if it is still working ur body. You can google the correct form but here are some basic tips :-). 1 ur arms should be straight so u can get the full rom (range of motion). Ur hands should not hit each other when brought to the top maybe an inch apart many people clap and that is not correct in the basic form maybe in a modified form. Ur legs should only come out shoulder width apart. You should have ur core tightened at all times and u should not be landing on the ball of ur foot because u hurt ur spine unintentionally. Try jumping more on ur tippy toes which in itself rests ur whole body. It will still be painful but not ER visit painful :-). U should also be able to crank out a lot more and over time get very quick. I hope this helped I wish u the best.
