September biking by road, dirt, spinning or stationary bike challenge
Goal is to just see how many miles you can do in the month. I use to do this all the time with friends, but they dont bike anymore.
This challenge starts the 1st of september and ends the end of the month. If this challenge is popular ill post another one for october. Plz remember to update when you can with the amount of miles you have done each day. Thanks! :)
Anyway whos with me on this? If your top for milage you get bragging rights and to me thats very awesome. Call me lame, but competing like this just for the fun of it pushes me.
I'll try it! I haven't been on a bike in a year
Im so in! But i ride mtb so my mileage will be low but my elevation chabges will be high. On vacation now and had a personal and family best rode around the lake 7.98 miles in time of 43.53. Im very happy with that!
One more day to join before the challenge starts. Come on and join, u know u want to. :)
So far today I have done 41.99 miles on a stationary bike for two hours. Might do some more later on.
44 miles. Impressive! 6.25 miles of mixed trail (fairly technical blend of rocks, trees, and roots) and road riding. Course was flat but 3500 feet elevation.
Last night I just did a 2 mile ride around the neighborhood
Back home - did one of my old favorite rides straight up a fire road on the way to Mount Wilson here in LA. Just 6.1 miles total, but 1256 feet of asent in the first 3 miles. Would have liked to go further, but it was 80 degrees at 9 am already, and I just couldn't push it in this heat!
Today's road ride was 32.66 miles in 1:59:50 averaging 16.4 mph. Yesterday's rides were 7.73 miles in 35:03 in the afternoon and 16.95 miles in 1:02:35 averaging 16.3 mph in the morning That makes 57.34 miles in 3.62 hours so far this month.
On too of the over 40 miles yesterday, I did 20 more miles that same day. Today I did only 35 on my stationary bike. Going to try one of these days to do 100. Use to be able to but need some good movies or the US open to be on when I can bike. Hooe everyone is doing well on their biking :)
I'm in. I've done 20.7 miles so far this month :)
My September 3 morning ride was 20.18 miles at 1:22:10 averaging 14.7 mph with a 3.22 mile category 4 climb near the beginning. Something of a north wind to deal with today.
7.87 miles today on the flattest trail around here. Time was 43.31 - mix of road, dirt trail and riverbottom rock. The rock sucked!
Upto 39.7 miles this month. Done on a hybrid bike - road and trail riding.
Ok update on milage.
Day one: 41.99 and 20.64. Did that in 3 hours.
Day two: 20.47 and 15.25. This day I sucked and finished these two biking workouts in two hours
Day three: 21.18 and 20.29 I did really well the first ride but was dead tired by the second.
My total so far is 139.82 miles. Aimming for 1,000 this month
Today's ride: 20.03 miles in 1:24:09 averaging 14.3 mph with a 2.1 mile category 5 climb starting at 4.2 miles. That makes 97.55 miles so far this month. Monthly goal : 720 miles.
Last night I did a mile on a stationary, tonight I'll go to the gym and see how long I can spin
I like ur upper half
