Two things you need to do, one is cardio to reduce percentage body fat and the other is crunches with weight, this whole thing of doing so many crunches you look fat is nonsense if you do crunches with weight it just means they'll show better if your percentage body fat isn't that low.

I usually stretch and do HIIT Me With A Carbo Burn every morning when I wake up. Eat breakfast after that. It pumps you up for the day. 

Later on in the day, I do All-Around AbsAbs Attack, and/or Military Leg & Ab Superset. You don't wanna work our your abs everyday though, rest a day or two in between. Good luck!
