Bench Press Max

I'm 13 almost 14 In 8th grade. I play football and basketball and track. We lift weights for all of those. I've been signed up for weightlifting as a class end semester. I'm pretty strong and built. I can 1 rep max for bench 164lbs. Is that average, below average, or above average for an 8th grader/14year old? If you're around my age comment your bench Max please.

That's hard to believe and Daniel J's comment is hard to believe as well.....If it's true then that's a good weight. But by the end of 10th grade so 15 for me I could bench 225 and by the time I was out of high school at 18 I could bench 265.

Its true I used to bench more but I quit lifting for about 2 years. Getting back into it again my all time best was 440. And at senior year I was pushing around 300

Above avg , my max at 15-16 was 135 . 18 now and about 255 max

I think thats pretty strong. Just make sure you are keepig good form. Form always goes over weight.

When i was 15 to 16 my max was around 245 now at 26 my max is 390
