Injured and recovering

i just hurt my knee while cycling and i think its going to take more than 2 weeks to completely recover. The knee joint has swelled up below the knee cap. I generally swim, gym and play football. Any advice s? Work outs? anyone else who is injured .?

Take care! Eat moderately and if possible walk (at whatever speed u can) without forcing ur knee

Don't force yourself into something that will hurt your knee. When you feel comfortable, you want to strengthen the muscles outside of the knee, such as the quads. Use exercises that won't put too much stress on your knees, like leg extensions, and avoid squats and lunges, since they put a lot of stress on the knees. Good luck!

Walk a bit for some days..do not run for some days...swim once ur pain is gone
