Best post workout lunch

I just did a cardio and abs and core workout mixture .... I'm trying to figure out if I should eat a big lunch after, or a nice post workout snack

Bananas are great post workout food. I always have them after cardio workouts

Good evening Gigi... In my opinion a nice grilled boneless skinless chicken breast with a side of raw vegetables...I've been told that the protein from the chicken helps with the muscle recovery as far as a great post workout drink believe it or not is a 12 oz bottle of low fat chocolate milk...research has determined that the protein from chocolate milk helps just as much if not more in muscle recovery than all of the popular sports drinks.

It doesnt matter that greatly.

What is most important is that over the whole day, you get what you need and from the right sources. After a workout ppl are usually hungry. So its wise to have a meal :-). What you should eat protein and carbs wise is determined by your goals and specific situation. Having a meal with enough carbs to fuell you back up and enough protein to help the body.
