Yeah you can. Are you trying to do it over a short distance? If so try adding a resistance (ankle weights are great for it, or running up a slight hill rather than flat ground)
Depends how often you running ,if this once in week that will be hard but if you start running more often this improvement will come also you can try speed intervals when you running and to run faster you need to be stronger I suggest some cardio training between you running sessions
