Lose Weight / Tone Up

So I want to lose some weight and tone up around my thighs and stomach.

What's the best method for this?

Eat less calories per day than you burn.

Exercise regularly.

What most dont realise is that if you lift weights ( not necessarily heavy weights ) people can burn fat while resting so i suggest having a weight training workout , and plus weights while help with the tone up process
