Hey guys. I'm looking for tips on doing more pull ups. I have a pull up bar but I'm only 5'2 so it's hard to even reach for me. Sometimes I use a stool and that seems to help. Any advice??
Try doing just one extra a day. Do one today, two tomorrow, three the next day and so on.
Jump up to top position and slowly lower down. (negative pull up)
Google "inverted row" and try those.
The negative pull-up, like Patrick suggested is a very effective method. A while back I was only able to do chin-ups, no pull-ups and then I started doing negative pull-ups and before I knew it, I was able to pull myself up
Assisted pull ups starting on a chair or Stool. Keep at it.
I use a pull up assist band to get more done in workouts and increase the amount i can do. There are the adjustments and it clips to any bar. I can send you a link if you can't find it - message me if you need help. It's a great tool...!!!
