Bulk up???

I need to bulk up a bit....not huge but would like a few more pounds of muscle. I do run a lot so I might be screwed!!

I didn't hardly run at all for 6 months and was lifting and eating like a horse. I gained 20 pounds . I didn't eat clean enough and gained more fat than I thought I would. That being said it is coming off and I'm starting to c the muscle gain. I'm only 5"8 . Started at 170 and jumped to 190 so that was a big difference for me. That was my first go at it but if and wen I do it again I'll eat a lot cleaner and keep up with some cardio 2-3 times a week....

Stop running. Eat and lift like a machine...a machine that eats and lifts all day

Only run once a week if that........you got to Eat Big and Lift even Bigger

Increase your protein intake to 1 gram per pound of body weight(ie you weight 100 pounds you should consume 100 grams of protien per day) provided that you work out heavy(67% to 85% weight load of your 1 RM max for 6-12 reps per set is recommended for muscle grow). You may also have to cut back on the running as suggested in another post to 1/ week
