Hi, I am 55 and struggling with my body shape due to the menopause. I workout for at least an hour a day, 6 days a week. This includes walking briskly for at least 20 minutes a day, fitness dvds for at least an hour - zumba, Rosemary Conley etc and working on my fitness equipment including cross trainer and my running machine, aqua aerobics on alternate days. I would say my diet is fine - porridge in the morning, one Roll with Ham and Salad and apple. Dinner in the evening of salmon and vegetables or soup with a Roll. I am not losing weight and my body shape is not changing. Really frustrating!!!

You should be eating 6 small meals a day. Cut the rolls. More veggies no butter. Eat nuts, legumes and drink at least 60 Ounces of water per day. Add more protein and fiber to your diet. The water protein and fiber help you to feel satiated longer.

Are there any good resources (articles) that describe how to do the multiple small meals? I'm doing a meal replacement and a sensible dinner but I don't know if my body is going to allow me to lose belly fat or store more if it thinks I'm staving! Any insight would be helpful. Thanks!

53, and in better shape now than I ever was. I had even tried running before but  I have actually lost more inches and weight, (actually need to gain a couple pounds) since I have been weight training. I don't even mean hard core weights. Only about three days a week. I've gone down about 3 sizes since and I can't hardly believe it.

Also I've been eating more protien meals and in between snacks and being mindful of eating more good for me foods and occasional treats. Good luck to you.

Hi,  I'm 43.  Somehow 20 pounds came on a lot faster than it's going off. Can t fit into my work pants today,  so using that as my goal.

workout in morning  (metabolism boost all day),  and walk or run hills at night,   and trying to watch what I eat and drink much better than earlier this year.
And believe and love yourself,  no matter what the scale says!!

Anyone having issues with losing fat, here is a good tip thay has helped me with this issue.
1. Take two tablespoons of Apple Cider Vinegar with hot tea every morning.
2. Use Safflower Oil in and on everything you use oil for when is comes to food; salads, cooking, etc.

This has done workers for me. For the past four years I have had issues losing fat but since I found this remedy, the results have been amazing. I would send pics but my wife doesn't like me for to do that.  I guess she loves the progress also!

I am 47 and just signed up and completed the first workout of weight loss program and also signed up for beginning yoga.  I have noticed a decrease of my range of motion this past year so hoping the yoga will help with flexibility.  I was watching and exercising to free videos on you tube, but there was a lot of exercises I had to modify, so I am hoping this will help me get in better shape.

  1. Detox your digestive system
  2. stay away from dairy products sugars, which can clog you up by creating more mucus in your system.
  3. Drink rooibos tea
  4. Load up more water in your body
  5. Have a smoothie for breakfast
  6. Start your day with hot lemon water
  7. Move your body
