I'm trying to keep myself motivated by putting workouts on my android calendar. I was wishing it would let me collect points so I could set a goal. The I saw on my profile that it does have a point system. Only thing is, how does it add points? Does each workout have different points based on quality? Does each workout show the number of points somewhere? How many points are reasonable for each week?
I think points are earned by duration, intensity, and frequency of workouts. The leader board slows your ranking with Thur friends or with the WT community. I just look at my points too see how well I am doing against myself.
I think I'll have to check my total after each workout to get an idea. I've got 76 points from 16 workouts in 10 days, some just stretching, others strengthening, 5 to 15 minutes each. I've been trying out different exercises. By the end of the month I should be able to calculate a weekly goal for myself.
The 7 minute scientific workout is 5 points.
Strange enough l did as much as 40 workouts and still 9 points only?
Don't base your exercise routine on points. If you create an exercise called 'sitting on the couch' and make it last over an hour with the intensity on 'high', you're probably going to get more points than someone who does HIIT for 30 mins. Even though the latter burns significantly more calories. The points system is flawed and should be removed.
