Pain in Upper Right Buttock

I have chronic pain in the upper right buttock, but it never travels down the leg. It occurs after being on my feet for extended periods of time. I am a commuter cyclist and never experience pain while cycling. Any advice for exercises to strengthen this area to alleviate the pain?

Hmmm.... I wonder if you put more weight on your right side than your left? Sometimes the way you stand and sit has a lot to do with back pain.

I think you may be on to something. I do tend to favour my left side when I stand and the pain is on the right. I will have to focus on distributing the weight evenly on both feet and hips. Thanks for the observation.
