Aerobic Exercise + Strength training + Cardio in medium intensity is best for people above age 50 !

Helo Rita, There are many programs on here that you can do that allow you to progress to more activity. What I recommend to my clients that are just starting out is to try Pilates training and Barre programs. These are low impact with high impact results. If you have the nutrition down you should find results quickly. Yes with being a little older we tend to think we used to be able to do that or that is too much.  The key is to remember not doing it for a while is the factor, once you get into shape you will feel incredible and you will find you can do this ! Good recommendations! I tend to forget my age (50) and end up injuring myself by trying to do too much too soon or too fast. Learned my body doesn’t recover like it used to! I have been doing low Impact cardio and stretches (alternating) to get back in the groove! Thanks for the reminders! 👍🏻

I'm 50+, need to get healthy, lose 20-30 lbs. and tone! I know healthy eating and exercise, but so many of the programs are for 20 somethings with boundless energy. I need some ideas or a program for women of that age, activity level, etc.
