Does running build muscles in your legs & butt? Does it give your body more definition?

Yes and no lol running creates lean definition on your lower and upper body, with proper weight lifting (squats, lunges, etc.) running will help you achieve the lower body your looking for!

Train or do sprinting rather than long distanace running.

Look at a marathon runners body
Then look at a sprinters body
That should tell you what style to use in order to gain muscle

Lol sprinting doesnt build those muscles. Those muscles are needed fot a good sprint. Dont turn this arround :-)

How about sprinting lets you keep more mass vs long distance trims you down.
Do weights to truely build muscle

Running builds explosiveness how quick can one person move over a period of time. The more explosive you are the more effective you other workouts will be long distance build stamia so you can be more explosive. Workouts for a longer period of time. You need to do other workouts beside running that build muscle and some yoga to make your body more flexable.the top muscles groups needed to be a good runner is abs legs and hip muscle.
