Pre and post workout diet

I have recently started going to the gym for body toning and weight training. I am a lean guy and was wondering what best to eat before and after workout for maximising results. Any help will be appreciated

Let me know your gym timing, how much time you spend in gym.

Its usually in the evening at about 5 pm to 6 pm. Also do note that I am in India and the climate here is hot and humid so would not prefer foods which generate a lot of heat

Hi Saikat, Post workout have any good milkshake. Or protien shakes. Before gym, better to have nothing for half an hour before gym. Have chana alot. And have roti or bhakri made up of Bajra. These foods are high protien foods. At night, just have some milk to cool down your system. Have coconut when you eat too spicy foods. Coconut makes your stomach free of ulcers. Hope these tips help you follow diet suitable for Indian Climate.
