Does Creatine work best before or after your workouts? The same goes for protein powder?
Doesnt matter that much. Specially for protein.
Creatine before except on ab days & protein after workouts with 1/2 an hour, and then every 3 hours following.

Creatine is taken after your workout it does nothing whatsoever before hand..
When you take it afterwards you are replacing the creatine thats been used in your muscles...which is why you do a loading phase when you first start taking it which is usually 5-10g 3 times a day for a week this loads the creatine into your muscle and after you workout the creatine that was used is replaced..
You can get around the loading by taking just 5g a day but it will take weeks to load up in your muscles.
Also you need a blood sugar spike which is why people take it in fruit juice or with dextrose which is a sugar...without the sugar spike your just wasting your money maybe you get a placebo affect but thats it.
There is alot of research done on creatine and internet is full of info on it but thinking take it before is totally wrong!
