Hi wondering if anyone is trying to gain weight ?I've been trying for about 6 years to gain weight . Going on and off gyms and excersize . But nothing helps so thought I would ask on here to see if anyone knows . I'm 55kg (lampost) and been doctors and specialists about me weight and they've turned round and said nothing they can do .thanks :) ps I don't want to be massive .I just want a toned muscly body .
Keep a log book of what you eat, usually it's simply not meeting the calories. Do it for a week and see if your eating enough, also log your weight as well. I have the same problem, lamppost and good metabolism. The only time I was able to gain, was eating 3k or more per day consistently.
I have the same problem. I have however been able to put on 10 lbs by using weight gainer, eating more, and lifting weights 3 days a week. Keep track of calories and make sure you're getting enough. It's not easy still a constant battle.
I'm on the same page here! I'm 5'3" tall and merely 108 pounds when i weighed myself this past Sunday! >.<
I know protein does help out a lot but it needs to be accompanied by a lot of weightlifting; or else, it'll turn just into fat and that's not what you want!
I really want to stop this whole "working out during phases" only, but its hard to keep going after 3-4 weeks of working out. :/
Perhaps what I need is a workout/motivation buddy to keep me going or something because I want to reach 130-145 pounds eventually!
Just an update, 8 days ago I weighed in at 145 lbs, using myfitnesspal ,ive consistently eaten and logged 2800-3k+ each day and I'm hovering around 150. I start a workout routine this week and will update again if I keep this up. One thing I know about myself, is that I drink too much coffee instead of eating in the past so I'm also cutting back on caffeine as well. I think some of us lampposts have just found ways around hunger, so just remember to eat enough to reach your goal even if you're not hungry.
