Help me gain muscle

I want to gain muscle. I'm really skinny and even when I work out my muscles don't really "grow", just harden. I don't have much of a butt and my legs are thin. I want to grow both. Any diets, shakes and gym exercises I can do? I'd be very thankful.

Grab a Body Fortress whey protein mix from Walmart, make and take a shake 1) after every workout and 2) every day, too. Also, when doing workouts, focus on lifting heavy weights that you can barely manage. In short, it's better to do small amounts of lifting a heavy weight than doing large amounts of lifting a small weight.

Well if you're trying to build muscle, then yeah, heavy sets, trying to tone muscle, light sets. For your bum and legs, I suggest just the usual, squats and deadlifts but maybe give the rowing machine a go too
