I'm barely 5'1 and I weigh 144 lbs. I'm under the age of 16. Am I overweight for my height and age?

I'm 5'5 and weigh 154lbs I'm 42 and know I'm overweight because I can see my belly sticking out front and I've stopped growing upwards!! It all depends on how much of your body is fat and how much is muscle, the best person to tell you would be your doctor or a physical fitness professional

You should speak to your doctor re the ideal weight for you.   There are a lot of height weight scales out there that you can also look at on line.   It has a lot to do with the size of your frame so most will. Ask for a few measurements to determine what is ideal for you.   Remember if you work out a lot, your muscle mass will weigh more than fat so you can be as much as 10 lbs heavier than the ideal weight if you have a lot of muscle according to a personal trainer I had.

Go onto the internet and take a BMI test it can tell you the weight most people have at your age and weight.
