Any moves for toned, firm & lean legs

Sometimes I feel like my body is out of portion. Sort of like an apple-sized shape figure. I have an average looking top bod but my legs are beyond average. If you will, it's like a pair of chopsticks. I am in the yoga loop and have tried other toning leg exercises. Still nothing. Anyone have any other suggestions?

I do cross country and I know that running helps soooooo much.
