Is it just MY hubby, or does anybody else's hubs or a guy they know able to lose weight at the drop of a hat XD? For real, I exercise religiously 6 days a week, an hour each day (well, just up to 40 mins now since I hit 3rd trimester) and it's like men will drop 10lbs in ONE week from maybe 3 days of exercise lol! I think I read somewhere their metabolism is higher?

The bigger the muscle the better the metabolism, muscle burns so much more calories than fat will ever do. That's why men have higher metabolisms.. you can increase your metabolism by getting more muscle.. the most important muscles are your legs.. "your fat burning machines", I am a personal fitness trainer and nutritional specialist .. follow and ask me anything on private message

I agree with u 100% muscle does burn more calories thn fat...but i do hav a question..my question is u mentioned tht u were a fitness expert and said for her to follow u and private message any questions sh may want to ask why does sh hav to ask fitness questions or concerns privately???? They r not private content...And infact most questions asked r th same questions tht r asked over a over again on here
27 Nov
You know you are SUPPER CORRECT... Hannah... just a lot of people like to ask so many other things on a private matter from my career experience just never noticed that there is no private messages or ways to connect witch make it so much better for public but maybe a lil harder for those that are shy to ask... Thank you so so much for pointing that out:-) :-) :-) :-) :-) !!!!

That sounds like me i have to say.  Big results from seemingly less effort.
I think its a male thing (trstosterone) coupled with a good metabolism

It is as you guess. The metabolism of men is higher and women's metabolism depends which hormones in their cycle they have.
But it will change. For example I'm in my fifties and can train and loose almost nothing and just look at the food and increase. So just wait and he will complain in a couple of decades ;-). Lol

Mine doesn't seem to have to do anything and is it such great shape...8 pk and all makes me so discouraged :( but guess gives me more motivation at same time

I workout 6 days a week , 1 hour each day coupled with a 1450 calorie high protein low carb diet. I barely manage to lose 1 kg in a week :( And I'm 30 kgs overweight.

26 Nov
Lol 1kg a week is really good!!!
26 Nov
Yes it is, but on a relative scale with respect to 10 pounds, it seems very small :(

It will change men get older their metabolism slows down hormone levels change old auther comes to stay and just like older women they can't do wat they use to do and start struggling to...of course their is a gentic property involved to and it may have nothing to do with being a guy ..

I eat right and exercise and I'm losing weight slowly. My hubby still eats like a teenage boy and gains no weight! One time when I was working out he ate in front of me the whole time!lol. I'm not mad tho, everyone's different.

26 Nov
Ate n front of u laughing??? Tht dnt sound rite...
26 Nov
He wasn't laughing, I probably would have threw something at him if he did!
27 Nov
Lol my husband likes to "motivate" me by slappin' my butt at the bottom of my squats! Gotta love our men!
27 Nov
Yup he's made a video of me doing squats before(without my knowledge) lol
27 Nov
Love it that we are still sexy to' em even when we're tired and drenched in sweat after a workout!

I intend to upgrade my weights after this pregnancy but just to be safe I just use the weights I have or use my own body weight :) In one week I'll be 8 months pregger! *Woohoo!*

27 Nov
Congratulation for you and your family god bless you with everything going on your life... :-) keep the hard work up and I greatly love it when someone knows what's best for them... :-) :-) :-)
27 Nov
Thanks! I really wanted to get certified in fitness and support pre/post natal women but I don't think the profession would pay enough to afford a nanny ($300 a week is the best deal here) XD
27 Nov
Well I really does pay good and it specially fells great when someone loves the way they look or their fitness level and even best when their wellness is at peak and all that is part of the motivation you gave them.. :-) :-) you should even if you would take it as a job it gives you so much knowledge..
27 Nov
I worry that the pay wouldn't be steady :( With 3 kids, I can't risk it and I also need good benefits and insurance. I'm happy inspirin' others on my facebook and I'm always gettin' asked for advice on there :D
27 Nov
That's a great thing to do way to go.. I would love to follow you on Facebook.. :-) :-)

For men their hormones are more balanced which keeps their metabolism flowing.
females metabolism slows down because their hormones can become unbalanced a lot more easy which can also result in weight gain and also make it harder for you to lose weight.

OMG! My chiseled husband does landscaping and tells me it's because I eat too much! Duh, if I eat any less I'll starve. I take care of 3 kids, do homework, cook, laundry, and then I'm too tired to exercise. I can only get a couple days in.

It's amazing how quickly you will drop when you cut sugar out of your diet. You can up you're loss to 4-5 lbs/wk. Drink a lot of water! That will amaze you, too!

Domestic goddesses unite! I workout during naps but sometimes I totally nap too :-)
27 Nov
Totally! I work out in the mornin' before the kids wake up then squeeze in a second workout when they go to bed. I can't wait for my first two kids to start school next year so I won't have 3 lil ones runnin' around the house all day lol
27 Nov
Omgosh poor thing I'm worn out with just two.
27 Nov
My 3rd baby will be here in January but, thankfully, my first two will help me by pickin' up toys and puttin' their laundry in the hamper. That's not to say they're lil angels all the time lol. My hubby works 12 hour days but he works week on and week off so he helps a lot :) My mom says he's the only man she's seen that'll change diapers *my dad never did*!

I have four great kids..being a mom is so exhausting but look at the bright side..they grow faster than you can imagine.i make time for working out and if i cant get to i walk with them. Its fun really.it will be yelling, parenting and EXERCISING.;-)

And cuttin' out added/refined sugar TOTALLY works! I cut it out 2 years ago and the weight just drops off and you find a whole new appreciation for natural flavors :)

Hey Amanda wanna ask u sumthing, m in 1st trimester of m pregnancy so cud u pllz suggest me which kind of exercises I can do fr dese days nd fr the rest of d period.....

29 Dec
Always ask your doctor first, and of he clears you for exercise you can do what you normally do for the first trimester. Just be sure you don't overheat. If you didn't exercise before then try some walkin' and other beginner workouts to ease into it. By second trimester, I avoided anythin' that got me flat on my back and in 3rd trimester I took out any cardio that makes me jump and run and mainly focus on strength trainin'. Always listen to your body, if it doesn't feel safe for you to do or hurts then modify or stop....

Funny arent they, mine looks at me and asks me whom i want to look slimmer for as he says he likes me fleshy.well yet he does the eating while i do the complaining.. hubby had an episode of severe highblood pressure like 2 years ago then he was forced to shed the weight but now he is back to eating late and the rest yet he is not adding much weight. When i want to lose weight i have no problm all i need to do is  cut off sugar completely. May be you need to find out what seem to be your weight contributing factor then eliminate it. I am sure you will see some positive result faster.

29 Dec
Oh I just eat clean and my weight's fine, it just seems like men lose weight with less effort lol
29 Dec
Thats true.
