Is it just MY hubby, or does anybody else's hubs or a guy they know able to lose weight at the drop of a hat XD? For real, I exercise religiously 6 days a week, an hour each day (well, just up to 40 mins now since I hit 3rd trimester) and it's like men will drop 10lbs in ONE week from maybe 3 days of exercise lol! I think I read somewhere their metabolism is higher?
That sounds like me i have to say. Big results from seemingly less effort.
I think its a male thing (trstosterone) coupled with a good metabolism
It is as you guess. The metabolism of men is higher and women's metabolism depends which hormones in their cycle they have.
But it will change. For example I'm in my fifties and can train and loose almost nothing and just look at the food and increase. So just wait and he will complain in a couple of decades ;-). Lol
I workout 6 days a week , 1 hour each day coupled with a 1450 calorie high protein low carb diet. I barely manage to lose 1 kg in a week :( And I'm 30 kgs overweight.
It will change men get older their metabolism slows down hormone levels change old auther comes to stay and just like older women they can't do wat they use to do and start struggling to...of course their is a gentic property involved to and it may have nothing to do with being a guy ..
I eat right and exercise and I'm losing weight slowly. My hubby still eats like a teenage boy and gains no weight! One time when I was working out he ate in front of me the whole time!lol. I'm not mad tho, everyone's different.
I intend to upgrade my weights after this pregnancy but just to be safe I just use the weights I have or use my own body weight :) In one week I'll be 8 months pregger! *Woohoo!*
For men their hormones are more balanced which keeps their metabolism flowing.
females metabolism slows down because their hormones can become unbalanced a lot more easy which can also result in weight gain and also make it harder for you to lose weight.
It's also because the work do most men will burn more calories I'm carry ladders have10 lbs of tools in my tool belt only sit at lunch that gives me more muscle which that alone will burn more calories
It's amazing how quickly you will drop when you cut sugar out of your diet. You can up you're loss to 4-5 lbs/wk. Drink a lot of water! That will amaze you, too!
OMG! My chiseled husband does landscaping and tells me it's because I eat too much! Duh, if I eat any less I'll starve. I take care of 3 kids, do homework, cook, laundry, and then I'm too tired to exercise. I can only get a couple days in.
And cuttin' out added/refined sugar TOTALLY works! I cut it out 2 years ago and the weight just drops off and you find a whole new appreciation for natural flavors :)
My husbands the same, loses excessively quickly!!!

Funny arent they, mine looks at me and asks me whom i want to look slimmer for as he says he likes me fleshy.well yet he does the eating while i do the complaining.. hubby had an episode of severe highblood pressure like 2 years ago then he was forced to shed the weight but now he is back to eating late and the rest yet he is not adding much weight. When i want to lose weight i have no problm all i need to do is cut off sugar completely. May be you need to find out what seem to be your weight contributing factor then eliminate it. I am sure you will see some positive result faster.
