I really want to get into yoga, but don't know where to begin. I am a perfectionist and want something with emphasis on proper form and breathing techniques, but I also want to progress quickly. Suggestions?
If u like videos, check Jillian Michaels Yoga Meltdown. It is for beginners but challenging and she gives great explanations of poses! Good luck! Namaste!!
'YJ Mag' has some videos on YouTube. The videos are 10-30 mins and have different instructors explaining everything you need to know :) You can follow along with the videos because they take their time going through it.
Basically you want long, deep breathes and inhale when switching poses and exhale when settling in, unless it is a twist the you should do the opposite.
I don't have any clue what the different branches of yoga are! I want to be able to do all those cool inversion and balance poses I am seeing all over skimble...
