Exercise is known to help cramps but when its a lot flowing u don't want accidents. U could walk n just know where a bathroom is.

Yes you are right :-)

I don't !! Exept when i have to go to swim meets ! Then i just swallow some pills and jump into the pool!
But if i don't have any i stay in bed eat clean, and drink tea ! A healthy girl even burns calories on a cheat day. ;) so don't worry

Working out distracts you from other painful stimuli! Go for a brisk walk!

Studies show that the week of and after your period your body is more "man like".
If you attempt a workout during this time you'll find that you can go harder.

I get horrible cramps to I was on pain pills for years.... I created an ab massacre routine I use it when I'm crampy and I do 2 min of 90-90 crunches before and after. Its tough I won't lie it challenges me but it helps

I do cardio.. Not anything laying down for too long though like crunches or sits ups (learned that the hard way if you know what I mean).. Yep that's me..

I started skimble whilst on my first p after giving birth and have been doing an intense mum amd bubs boot camp for 2 weeks. Tbh a couple times my tampon started to fall because I've been doing crazy ars exercises at boot camp lol... i only feel my p pains when I stop exercising. Sorry if tmi but we're all girls. Well in this forum I hope so lol

tmi only counts when the details don't have a purpose but they were very helpful I have similar problems that's why I work out with overnight pads tight shorts then running shorts

On the first day I never do cause I get horrible cramps too(taking pain killers and keeping a heating pad on my stomach is the only thing that helps), the rest of the time I try to do light exercises as other have suggested if the pain is bad.. If it's not as bad(usually on the third day of my period) I work out as normal.

my cycle is extremely painful the Dr's have a name for it but they give me pain killers for them. but I created a workout the help with the belly pouch we girls hate and it helps my cramps too. I do it first thing every morning. maybe it'll help you too.

Yoga! Not only the movement but  learning yoga breathing techniques also helps you manage the pain if it strikes in public or you're in the middle of something else

I completely understand so do I. It just depends on how bad. Sometimes just really intense stretching feels good.

If your cramps are really so bad you can't get out of bed, you need to see a doctor. There are treatments for that.

I think..during periods workout should be avoided.you should do just yoga to relax yourself in pain.research says that intense workout during these days can cause problem in ladies.SO I suggest just walking and simple yoga poses

Try swimming

The pressure of the water will keep everything in.

And swimming has a lot of benefits...

Studies have shown that on our periods, we can lose 3 times more weight! And frankly, once you begin you're distracted from the pain and it feels so good to finally have done something!

What do you need help with? Have you tried to also post on the thread for teens here in the forums? The best part for me here is to a challenge.

To join challenges , that is what I mean that I find very helpful.
