Seeing as you're already doing some of the best weight exercises at your friends place, I'd suggest you get started on pull-ups.. Accept you might struggle to do just one, but also that you'll never stop trying. Soon you'll be doing 2, then 3 the you'll be repping them out all day long!!
Your friend should know all types of pull-ups, they're a cross-fitters bread & butter.
Based on your weight/height you need to focus on weight loss though, again something your friend can help with. Less weight to lift, easier it gets!
And good luck!! If you put in the same amount of effort into working out as finding 'friends' on here you'll do well
