What are the pros and cons to adding protein to your diet.
Muscle-Protein is the main building block of lean tissue, so if you're trying to build muscle it is usually helpful to eat more protein. (This won't really work unless you're doing exercises designed to build muscle)
Satiety- protein can help with feeling satisfied or feeling full, so you don't keep eating more calories.
Potential for Kidney damage: protein uses a lot of water to process and also produces a lot of waste for your body to filter out, which places strain on the kidneys.
Nutrition:If you start cutting other things out of your diet, you may be missing the proper balance of nutrients. (Example: carbs are good for you)
