Is it OK to workout bare feet. I'm basically a exercise newbie. I want to just start out with a few reps of lunges, squats, ab crunches . . .

It's fine. Can actually be better for you to actively feel the muscles in your feet stabilizing you. Could be an issue with running or jumping, things that might create more repetitive impact, or if you start lifting weights it can be a bit dangerous to drop something on your bare foot.

But really, it all comes down to how it feels for you and if its comfortable.

Thank you Patrick. I workout at home and feel comfortable in only a pair of sock. Plus I'm not sure about the right footwear I need. Running shoes are what I have.
