How to work lower and middle back?

I need to widen my middle back really badly!! I just havnt found a workout to target that spot and lower back. Comment your favorite workouts that work the middle and lower back making a V physique. Id also like to widen my lats but I think pullups work for that. Thanks!

Deadlifts all the way. Barbell rows will help aswell.
