Hi guys, I was wondering whether you can help me out? Push ups are supposed to work the chest as well as the arms right? How is it that I can't feel it working my chest at all, just my arms are burning! My form is perfect and I've tried wide arms as well as incline but nothing seems to be working! Suggestions?
Then your arms are a lot weaker than your chest. Just keep on doing push-ups and this problem will solve itself.
The thing is I've been a professional swimmer for about 13 years now and train 4 hours a day, so shoulders and arms are big and strong but my chest is small?
Use heavy weights for 6-8 reps.
