Need help on working chest!

Hi guys, I was wondering whether you can help me out? Push ups are supposed to work the chest as well as the arms right? How is it that I can't feel it working my chest at all, just my arms are burning! My form is perfect and I've tried wide arms as well as incline but nothing seems to be working! Suggestions?

Then your arms are a lot weaker than your chest. Just keep on doing push-ups and this problem will solve itself.

The thing is I've been a professional swimmer for about 13 years now and train 4 hours a day, so shoulders and arms are big and strong but my chest is small?

I hear what your saying! I don't believe your going to build much muscle on your chest through push-ups....I agree with u my chest is never sore after push-ups! For the most part your chest size is going to be genetics, some people had big chests some others have big shoulder or arms, and so on. What I feel most on chest is dumbbell bench presses and dbell flys.

Thanks brother! But my build is weird I have huge arms and big ads but small chest!

Use heavy weights for 6-8 reps.
