I just started going to the gym. I want to build muscle and get my abs to show...and i need help ! My main concern is weather i should be doing a lot or cardio or focusing on building muscle and then shredding fat ? Please help

Doing a lot of cardio actually damages your muscular tissue. Either way, is the same. If you choose to focus on gaining weight through muscle mass first, you will need to shred fat later. If you shred fat first, you'll need to build muscle too eventually.
