they are definitely more expensive.. aside from that point, organic produce has restrictions on the pesticides that can be used on them. this makes them less likely to have harmful chemicals.

im usually willing to pay the extra dollars fir organic foods. makes it easier to sleep at night lol

"Organic" - as defined by the US Department of Agriculture - is a method of farming that does not allow the use of chemical fertilizers, chemical herbicides (to kill weeds), or chemical pesticides (to kill bugs and insects).

Organic farmers instead use natural products, such as manure, to fertilize their crops.

Although the US Department of Agriculture insists that the chemicals used by non-organic farmers do not pose any human health concerns, there are certainly many people who buy only organic products in order to reduce or avoid exposure to those chemicals.

So to answer you question about "Are they good" - the answer is: Yes, they are just as good as non-organic products.

"Are they clean?" - Yes, mostly. They will have much less chemical pesticide and herbicide on them compared to non-organic products.

"Are they healthy?" - Yes, they are just as healthy as non-organic products. In a few cases, organic products may be very slightly more healthy (contain more vitamins or minerals) than non-organic, but the difference is very small.

Ultimately, the choice comes down primarily to price. If you have to choose between eating a small amount of organic vegetables vs. eating non-organic because non-organic is less expensive, you should buy the less expensive non-organic...and eat more of them!
