Protein powders are a waste of money, if you are rich, buy the most expensive one you can get, it will be the best "powder."

If you are smart however, just do this:

Make a skim milkshake with two eggs, and a banana, or scoop of low fat ice cream. 

That's it. Amino acids in the eggs help you replenish muscle protein and the simple carbs in the sugary bits race muscle glycogen.

Done, quick, easy, cheap and you'll be doing what experienced athletes do, not following Bro Science ;)

Ha ha! No, you won't taste the eggs, just put something in that you like the flavour of. It can be anything sweet and sugary, you need it straight after your training session :) Shake it up really well and the eggs will just mix in.

Note: you can replace the bananas or ice cream with any simple sugary flavouring like honey, flavoured syrup etc. it just needs to be a simple carbohydrate.

Consume it immediately after you finish training (while warming down is best)
