How do you figure out how many calories a day you should eat to loose weight/maintain weight/gain weight? I can't remember the formula.

I dont know a formula but i do know that to loose 2 pounds per week eat 1600 calories a day if you want to loose a pouns and a half in a week eat 1880 calories per day.

Try the myfitnesspal app or website. It will tell you how many calories and nutrients you should eat depending of your level of activity, what you weight and exercise goals are, and your weight and such. It is also a food and exercise journal and log, really helps you keep track of your diet.

I do use myfitnesspal and was able to find out what I needed. Thanks!!!

Look up the formula called the Harris Benedict equation. It works well. :-)

Make an account on livestrong.com for myplate and they will help you out. They tell you how many calories you need depending on your weight, exercise, and how quick you want to lose the weight. It's great!
