Tricky question, huh! The problem with snacks in purses is that not many things are practical to carry. For one thing, it can't be something that needs to be refrigerated. It also can't be a juicy fruit as that can make a big mess.

I guess a small ZipLoc bag of vegetable bits and pieces is a good choice. I love carrots, I eat them whole at home. I also love cauliflowers and broccoli.

A couple of cookies is nice, especially if you are the kind to need the sugar. Almonds and other nuts are the best. They are very filling, healthy, travel really well and are damn tasty. They also tend to leave your fingers clean.

Then, there are granola bars. Chocolate bars are okay, but they tend to melt too soon.

Grapes without stems in a baggy is excellent. You can also use the dehydrated version, a.k.a. raisins, although I never liked them.

My top choices are carrots and almonds. They are both filling and highly nutritious without taking up too much room in a purse and without making a mess of things.
