What to eat before and after a workout

What would anyone recommend for a before and after workout snack or meal?

For example : iceberg lettuce ,romaine lettuce , grilled chicken breast, mexican seasond cheeses, yellow and blue tortilla strips, spicy ranch pros: has chicken cons: might want to substitute a healtheir dressing

Oh alright so you meant salad I'm assuming? Hah but bad news.. I hate salad :/ lol I probably should have added I'm a really picky eater.. but thanks for the advice though!

Im looking to gain more muscle mass.

Okay, Then 2-3 hours before your workout i whould go fore a full meal with standart protein and lots of carbs, something like rise. After my workout I whould get another 30g of protein and as many carbs as you need. I used to drink a liter of chocolate milk fore another 600kcals. But anything with carbs Will work 60-90 min after that I whould have another full meal :)

Just remember to work hard and eat lots off food at all your meals and just the once around your workout, and get some protein and fat before bed!!
