Ok so I eat VERY healthy and I eat 3 main meals a day and stacks in between as well as a post workout snack. I noticed my stomach is always growling and i feel hungry shortly after i eat why is this? Is this because my metabolism is speeding up. I exercise as well too.
Stomach growling is caused by the stomach muscles contracting and pushing the digestive enzymes and gases through the intestine and stomach to break down food particles. The more food in the track the less sound as it will deaden the echo from the cavity walls. Also if there is no food, it triggers a hunger response as well. If you notice the sound more with exercise it could be because you have also been working you core muscles, which are now working to help the stomach and intestine digest food and get added energy from the workout. Make sure your diet is high in fiber and protein as it takes longer to digest and will be in the stomach and intestine longer, lessening the sounds and suppressing your hunger.
