Yep I want to. It's just that I've grown up eating meat but each day I eat less now. So I am gradually transitioning... how long have you been vegetarian for?

Sounds great I've been vegetarian for 1 1/2 year now.. But why do you want to become vegetarian? Health or?

That's awesome. Yes, for health purposes. I mean, there is a likelihood of getting cancer if you eat meat... I also feel bad that I've eaten something that was once alive. Meat production is bad, not only animal abuse wise but also causing chemical carbon dioxide.. in short, going natural is the way to go ;)

Totally agreeing! I did it because of the way the animals people eat are treated so badly today and for me health is just a bonus! But no matter what im so happy i made this decision even though I'm the only one I know who's a vegetarian, so sometimes it's a bit difficult..
19 Nov
Yeah it's really terrible how they kill them just to get in our bellies damn, you're the only one you know who is vegetarian... That's really brave of you to make that decision alone. I'm a proud you did it though :) that's super
20 Nov
Well plants are alive too technically they breathe they grow why do you kill them to get your food this argument is stupid and offensive for the people who do eat meat it's not morally injust so don't make me feel like I am doing something wrong. I am just as much against the animal torture as the next guy I don't support skinning dogs alive or cock/dog fights but I do eat meat from goats/chickens as they're grown for solely that purpose. Just like a wheet farm. Know how many species would've gone extinct if they were of no...

My comment is for kono there judging someone based on what they eat is unfair there's so much wrong with the world than having a steak so focus your energy over the unjust oil wars or world hunger or something. If everyone goes vegetarian statistically speaking lots of us would starve to death the agricultural community alone cannot meet the needs of everyone in the world for a vast vegetarian population, not to mention where it will drive the price of food.

I really don't like the way I feel anymore right after I eat meat.
For me it been 10 day an I have not had anything that came from an animal...also no chemical laden food, ie: mac n cheese in a box, Ramin noddles, etc...nothing that is processed an to my surprise I have not had heatburn...
Can you say "Awesomeness"..lol

I would like, but it is very difficult for me

You can start with one meat free day a week... There's this thing called meat free monday aswell
20 Nov
God created animals and everything for our benifit, so the people who feels horrible for slaughtering animals should feel more bad for slaughtering and killing people in some countries, or go donate some money for poor African people.
20 Nov
Not everyone is religious. Just gotta respect each other.
20 Nov
What people am I slaughtering by not eating meat?? That doesn't make sense

Hi, I'm vegetarian since birth also. (27 years) Vegan first, to be exact....then discovered my love of dairy in my teenage years.

There are very few good vegetarian recipes/cookbooks out there....you know where the food actually tastes good. My mother (who has been vegan for 30± years) is from the south and can really cook [vegetarian food]. Her food is loved by many of my non-veggie friends. You can find her new cookbook (Cuisine on the Nile) on theveganveteran.com or Amazon.com

**just in case some of you guys need vegan recipes that still taste good

I'm actually a vegetarian too, but I'm trying to consume meat slowly in small quantity. I feel that being vegetarian I'm missing some essential nutrients. I need some feedback on this

24 Feb
Actually, being a vegetarian dosen't make u miss on nutrients. U just have to eat a balanced diet and know what and how much to consume :-)
