Redpoint What a fun jaunt. It was so intimidating and hard when I first started trad leading almost 4 years ago. Will proposed to Jo at the top!!

Multipitch - lead crux pitches finally came to finish the first trad climb I ever fell on. did pitches 1, 4 and 5. all felt pretty good - though I'm definitely not in shape, 5.8 feels kinda hard again!

Multipitch - lead crux pitches I thought, after doing Harry Daley and Bishop's Terrace, that I was a fairly solid Yosemite 5.8 climber. Apparently, that wasn't the case. I found Nutcracker to be pretty tough, not just physically, but psychologically as well. The first pitch 5.8 lb was burly and heady. I had to take on gear about half way through as I was still so tired from Royal Arches the day before and hadn't warmed up at all before hopping on the route. The second and third pitches were pretty chill. Loved the exposure at the beginning of the 3rd pitch. The 4th pitch...

Attempt Took my first trad lead fall on the 5.8 lb crux of the first pitch. No drama - clean fall, piece held, no pain whatsoever. Resumed leading that pitch and the 2nd one, only to be stymied by a slow-as-fuck 3-person party at the 2nd pitch anchor. Bailed due to lack of time before Brian was scheduled to leave.
