Elk Mountain Ski Resort is the largest ski areas in the Endless Mountain region of Pennsylvania.
The ski area was opened in 1959. It is the highest ski area in eastern Pennsylvania. Located about 30 miles north of Scranton, Pennsylvania, it has a 1,000 feet vertical drop. It has 27 trails including 6 greens, 10 blues and 11 diamonds. It also has a new terrain park located on the east side of the mountain off of the Delaware Trail. Many trails are serviced by snow-making facilities.
