About

My fitness journey started when I was just a toddler, following my mom to her aerobics and dance classes. In my early teens, I was involved in fastball, rowing, and swimming, and wanted to improve my physical prowess in these sports, so my mom got me a personal trainer at our local YMCA. His name was Sean. He was a kinesiologist, and had me doing amazing sport specific training that improved my fitness and agility in as little as two weeks. I was hooked! I began working as a lifeguard and fitness instructor at the Y, and then went on to do my Kin degree and a Master's too. I this time I studied coaching methods, injury rehabilitation, fitness testing and training, specializing in exercise for individuals with diabetes, heart disease, obesity, and high blood pressure. I also played varsity rugby and went to a whole new level of fitness with that training schedule. I've worked in public and private gyms and clinics, offered corporate health and wellness programs, and have coached kids, individuals with MS, and elite athletes. I strive to keep people active through the smallest and biggest injuries and life set-backs, as I have been through some doozies myself, and know how mentally and emotionally difficult it can be to cope. I have specialized in back rehabilitation and core strengthening and suffered through a blown disc, regaining 90% of my function. (Until nerves can grow back faster this is my upper limit;) I'm a huge supporter of whole foods and meal prepping, and am happy to share many of my tips for healthy eating, or even some favorite vegan and gluten free recipes with you! I currently train people in person or on Skype, so message me if you need some personalized programs or a regular date with a trainer who gets results :)
