About Me

I am an ACSM certified personal trainer and ACE certified Health Coach. My training background of twelve years has been at the YMCA, Jewish Community Center, park districts and private clubs. I have successfully guided my clients to lifestyle changes resulting in weight loss and increased muscle tone with Health Coaching and Strength Training. An RRCA certified running coach, I train athletes for distance running. I have coached junior high cross country and I have trained many individuals for races from 5K to marathon distance. In addition, I have trained with Lee Saxby on barefoot running technique. My running career began at age 40. I have run 44 marathons in 34 states. I have qualified for the Boston Marathon several times and completed it four times. My goal is to finish a marathon in each of the 50 states.

I recently read that 2017 is to be the year of kindness. Let's add mindfulness to that as well as I believe them to go hand in hand. B.M.S. Balance, Moderation, and Savor, that's my motto for life. Let's face it, we're all human but we're not cavemen anymore. Our challenges do not come from hunting prey and survival of the fittest. So I run, I lift, I ride. It occupies my mind, strengthens my body and is time well spent with my friends, family and clients. Find your B.M.S. and become more human, too.
