A really good blog post about returning to exercise after an injury. Even though I am a trainer, I still have to remind myself to be patient and that feeling good isn't really a reason for me to go back to full load straight away, if I want my injury to heal properly. Like probably every athlete, I want to go back to my normal lifting RIGHT NOW. I have just created two new programs for those who love to train at the gym with barbells. They are called "Powerbuilding" and "Powerbuilding (High Volume)". They combine Powerlifting and Bodybuilding to increase strength and muscle mass. The Powerbuilding version is ideal for those who want to go in the gym and be done in half hour, or they need to add strength training to their regimen.
