Welcome Wagon / Back on track

Do you go out with friends on weekends? I found that it was impossible not to eat/drink when hanging/going out. Saturday is like Monday if your focused on goals throughout the day. Might not be the same in your case, but I've had to limit "friend time." A sacrifice that I know won't cause lasting damage, and will be worth it in the long run when I reach fitness goals

Motivation & Support / Early Risers Support Group

Last week I found myself awake at 5:15am and not being able to fall back asleep. For whatever reason I was full of energy, so I decided to go for a one mile run followed by a 25 minute core workout.

Afterwards I felt GREAT. I had so much more time to relax and eat breakfast, get ready for the day and, for once, watch the news. I didn't have to worry about rushing to work and was generally excited to get there (fortunate enough to love my job..most days).

However since then I have not been able to wake up that early with that same sense of energy. I have no problem waking up but I "snooze" on back to bed until it's time for work. So what I'm looking for is someone(s) who wouldn't mind a mutual wake up call and motivational nudge to get out of bed. Doesn't have to literal call. A private/group message or text would work also.

Anyone interested? Maybe we could all do the same workouts as well so we're on the same level (more or less). Thanks!!

I'm in! Since not having to get up for school and not going back to work until the fall. I need motivation to get up and do a workout so I have the energy to get stuff done throughout the day. Plus it will make getting up early for work again easier. PM me and we can talk. Btw I'm starting an ab/Core and pushup challenge you're welcome to do with me. :-)

Motivation & Support / Kind advice needed

Advice? Get a new job! Sheesh, you spend 15/24 hours driving to and being at work @.@...more than half a day sitting, 7 days a week? Sorry, don't mean to be mean - I get that another job might not be possible. Maybe get one of those standing desks? Or sit on a yoga ball so your working your core while your at the desk?

Work while you work.

Yeah sitting on one of those balls is a good idea. You might feel weird at first but then a week later find everybody has a new ball to sit on cuz they saw yours.

Motivation & Support / Mutual Motivation

It looks like you have been consistent with your workouts based on your profile. Hopefully I can be as accountable with them as you are!

As for stretching, are there certain parts of your body you want to focus on? (Back, shoulders, legs and splits..) I know a lot of easy but effective stretches that if you do everyday you'll see results in no time.

I tried yoga..its just a bit too quiet for me ha.

I think my legs are in the most need of your guidance, though my back is a close second. . . What do you suggest instead of yoga?

Motivation & Support / Mutual Motivation

That's awesome. I personally don't think going to the gym every day (or even in general) is necessary to be healthy. Body weight exercises and healthy diet are enough. I'm with you :)

Motivation & Support / Mutual Motivation

Been going to the gym and eating 'smart' for about 2 weeks now. Im generally fit since I've been doing gymnastics since I was 14 but while I'm relatively strong, it'd be nice to also look the way I feel. Finally feel motivated to workout daily and eat healthy, and not see it as a chore. Going to start tracking my progress and use this app consistently as well. I've been hovering around 220lbs for 7 years and ready to dip back below 200. Anyone want to partner up / go at it together? I hope I can provide some advice and tips from the gymnastics world as well!
