Motivation & Support / HELP

Congrats on the baby! Being a mom is such a blessing! And give yourself a break, you need to take care of you and your family first before anything else, so its ok where you are at. Just work a little bit every day and enjoy who you are. But I know how you feel about being tired and fat and no energy. Just work at it every day! There are lots of workouts you can do at home, find some on this app, or look online. Do squats, push ups, ab work. Take a walk with your baby through the neighborhood, adding intensity as you go.
Good diet, such as less processed foods and more veggies, plus adding to your exercise will work. Since you are anemic, add iron, such as meat, beans, and green veggies. Are you taking prenatal vitamins? Those will help. Let me know if you want specific workout help.

Workouts and Programs / Leg day??

I have started a new plan where I focus on arms one day, then abs, then legs, then repeat. What are your favorite/most effective workouts for these areas? I am espcially trying to get more ideas for working on my legs. I've got squats, but that's about it. I like the stability ball for abs.

Thank you!

Squats, lunges, stepping, pistols, bottom to bottom, wall sit (with leg raise ), frog jumps, duck walk. Here you got of many. Oh and of course calf raises

Help / App help

Does anyone else have difficulty with the sound on this app? My volume will not change regardless if I use my phone volume or the app volume. Very annoying, can't play music and the app.

Motivation & Support / Challenge; It starts today!!! Please join, weightloss team...

I am in for a challenge! I recently just got a body composition test, and was put in the overweight category. It really hit hard as I have been active my whole life. I am now dedicated to not only not gaining weight this winter but loosing weight and getting built! Thanks for a place to post motivation!
Goals:
Diet: Eat clean, try to stick to a 50% carbs, 25% protein, and 25% fat. I currently eat about 75% carbs and 10% protein. Less processed foods and to track all of my calories to see what is going in.
Workouts: Learn some weight training and add more cardio to lose weight and gain muscle!

Also to enjoy life not out of a chip bag.

Let me know how you are doing, and if you have any suggestions/questions!

Weight Loss / Extremely discouraged

In a simple biological sense, then yes, less food in means less weight. However, your body does get used to the amount of work you do on a certain number of calories if you do the same thing over and over again. It knows it is coming and prepares for that. Also, if you are eating too few calories you body holds on to them as fat because it is in starvation mode, not helping your goals. Also, it is no fun to only eat carrots, is it?

I have read in many places that mixing up your routine and diet is always a good idea by adding more intervals whie maintaining a lowered calorie intake (but not too low!).

Just what I have read and found that works.

This is very true

That's why its important to eat breakfast, to prevent your body from going into starvation mode

Workouts and Programs / Skimble tips

Hi all, Does anyone know of a way to organize their liked workouts with the app? Every time I want to workout I have to search through all the workouts with no order. I would like to organize them by time, body part worked, etc. Can you do this with pro?
Thanks!

No you can't but I think they are working on a way to do this (hopefully) email them the suggestion

Challenges / Individual Triathlon Training?

It has always been a goal of mine to compete an olympic triathlon. I am getting married this summer, so when better to start then right now?! I can't afford the fees to do an organized one, but would anyone be interested in training with me for the next few weeks to complete a triathlon on your own on the same day? It would be great to have encouragement and a goal to work towards. I am a strong swimmer, but a beginner on bike and running. Message me if you are interested!

Motivation & Support / Workout plan question

Question for you all: do you have a workout plan for each week, like weights Tuesdays and Thursdays, or just do whatever when you can? What is most effective?
I see how I am feeling each day and pick a workout from that, but try to workout every day and keep it diverse. I feel I keep in it more that way, but is this effective? Any suggestions or workout ideas? I would love followers and workout buddies!

Motivation & Support / Can never stick to a workout.

I hear ya! I am struggling with fitting in school and health too. I find it helpful to have a plan in place the day before, and tell myself I HAVE to go, no thoughts of not going. I treat it like a class that I wouldn't skip, and just think of how much happier I will be when its done. You can just do short 15, 20 min high intensity workouts, that's all you have to get through, and they are fun. There are so many great and diverse ideas on this app, and I use pinterest, or see if there are any classes at a local gym. That way you just have to get there and they will do the planning for you. I also find it helpful to workout right in the morning before anything else, and that way its done. Keeping it diverse also helps keep your interest, so running, full body, cycling... If you need ideas let me know!
If nothing else, take the long way to class and walk with high speed, that still counts as a work out! And make yourself do small workouts before things like putting your shoes on, eating dinner.... Such as 10 push ups, 30 sec high knees, or whatever
Best of luck! We all struggle with too little time, but if it matters to you it will get done! Focus on doing it 2 days a week, then work up to more!
