The nice weather shouldn't be what encourages you to exercise and eat right, but if that what it takes, start now, because before you know it, the layers of clothes will be coming off. Diet & Nutrition / The 5:2 Diet. Intermittent Fasting.

Just completed 5 days of the intermittent dieting. After 5 days, I lost 3 1/2 lbs. My energy level is good and the hunger during the fast isn't to bad. My workouts have been on an empty stomach. The only thing that I do before, during and post workouts, is, I drink bcaa.

Lol good point, but, you aren't fasting 24 straight hours, you give yourself approximately an 8 or 9 hour time period you can eat and then you fast for about 15 hours

I don't agree with consuming 500 calories a day, but, if it works for some that fine. I would consume at least 1500 to 2500 calories a day

I totally get what you are saying Adam and if I were a guy I would take your advice but I don't ever eat anymore than 1400 calories a day and its hard for me to do that! It's a regular day for me and I've only had about 600 calories. O have to force myself to eat dinner tonight.

Remember, you aren't having tremendous size meals. A meal can be a protein shake or bar, even a fruit can be considered a meal. You kniw your body better than anyone else, so you do what'd good for u.

If I was to fast, I wouldn't eat after 400 pm and my first meal would be at around 700 am. During the hours that I can eat, I would eat approximately every 3 hours. I'm not one to count calories, but, if I was to guess, I would probably be taking in about 1500 calories.

After reading this post I looked into this and I'm going to give it a go. I work 3Rd shift and I don't get much sleep during the day because I'm running after my kids there for my calories are almost always over for the days count but I'm always up so I'm just hungry but today is my second fasting day and it hasn't been to awful. Got my chicken breast cooking for supper tho I try to save all of my calories for supper because that's when my cravings hit!

That sounds like it may hurt. Why don't you check out this site, maxworkout.com. I have nothing to do with them, but the workouts are definitely not boring and should keep you motivated. I also created a couple of workouts you can check out. You can find them in community created under crazy and crazier. Good luck.

I think this site has the potential to be a great tool for all sorts of people who are looking for new workouts, advice, not sure what to do or just looking for nutrition tips and so on. In the meantime, this site does offer all that was mentioned, but, is more of a social network. If the minds behind this site put a little more

Motivation & Support / Feelin a bit discouraged!

Try full body interval workouts. I have 2 workouts on here called crazy and crazier, it's geared for weight loss and body tone. If you aren't ready for that type of workout, you can modify it or come up with your own workout similar to that.
