Diet & Nutrition / Xocai Protein Shakes?

My thought is that there's way more antioxidants in the Xocai... That's my main pro for it... But yeah, the price difference is kind of ridiculous not to mention I have to order it through someone and wait for it to come in verse a ten minute walk to my health food store and getting it there.
Hmmmmmm... I'll need to stew about this more.

I'm drinking a chocolate Vega shake right now and may be switching to Xocai protein shakes... Does anyone know anything about this product? It sounds like some sort of magic drink but I'm skeptical...

Weight Loss / Feeling Awesome!

Just spreading the positive vibe. I'm feeling great today. I'm not sure what happened, but this morning I woke up and felt amazing, even though I had a rough night. I went on a long walk with my youngest. On our walk we stopped for a muffin (I had bran and low fat), then we stopped by the bakery, we played at the park, and then came home and I wasn't exhausted at the end like I use to be. I'm starting to really feel the benefits of eating clean and moving around easier with less weight.

How's everyone else feeling today? How are your goals going? I hope you're all doing great! :)

Motivation & Support / Motivation needed!

I'll follow you! My thing is to eat cleaner and be realistic with my goals. I don't have an 'ideal' weight... I just want to be healthy and active. :)

Motivation & Support / How do other moms make time for working out?

I have two... The eldest is in school now so it's easier to manage. I do mine bright and early and my youngest actually does them along beside me (not really well but she tries to follow). Walk EVERYWHERE you physically can.... And I know how hard that can be on a 'fit' day, but strap them into a stroller and get moving. ;)
I also work out at like 6:30am some mornings, or even 9pm at night. As long as  I get it in somewhere I feel I've achomplished something. Also if you sneak in some squats, lunges, wall sits, sit ups here and there for only a few minutes at a time you're doing something... Which is more than nothing.

I was raised with the mindset that if you end the day with only a penny more than you started you gained something. I carry that into working out. If I do at least one, or a handful of things, I've accomplished something. Be it a few minutes of squats, or an hour workout, I did SOMETHING to better myself and that's all that matters.

Also is chick pea hummus as healthy as everyone claims? Or am I further to get lentil hummus?

Hummus is probably just as healthy no matter which legume it was made of.

Diet & Nutrition / Filling Healthy Options?

I'm looking for something filling but healthy for snacks... I can't have anything in the mango family or with lactose... Any suggestions?
I'm open to anything as long as it's not oily. After my last pregnancy anything too oily (good oils or bad) make me horribly sick.

Look for high protein its the slowest digest nutrient which will help you feel Fuller longer

Welcome Wagon / What is everyones motivation here?

I want to be healthy. The scale isn't a huge factor for me... I don't care what the end weight is as long as I'm healthy and active. That's what my reason is... To be the best me. I've neglected myself for way too long.

Motivation & Support / First day using app

Love this app so far! I use it and wii Zumba. I'm already seeing results with this after almost a week. Lots of helpful people and advice here! Good luck with your goal! It's all about baby steps :)

Aside from cardio is there anything else I should be doing to target my post pregnancy belly?

Hormones play a la rge factor. Lay low on carbs which spike insulin, lowering the liver's ability to burn fat. Drink lots of water anf even more if you do have carbs.

That's amazing!!! Good luck! I eat a lot of vegan meals now but I'm still an active meat eater. It's super healthy for you though and great for the environment.

Motivation & Support / Need Some Positive People

Anyone interested in being positivity buddies. I was short 7lbs from my goal weight loss goal for the summer and could always use the positivity, and the nice kick in the butt to keep at it this fall. I'm currently 222lbs and want to be below 200lb for new years. Yes I know it's a fairly 'easy' goal but I rather take baby steps than huge strides and burn myself out too quickly. I'm sure with dedication and persistence I could pass my goal before that, but I'll cross that bridge when it comes :)
So ya... Lets be positive and motivate each other! :D

LET'S DO IT.I'm in the same situation as you. I tried to reach 200 by the end of the summer but now I'm stuck at 215 and now I feel discouraged.
